With a population of just over 2000, Fowey is a small town on the South coast of Cornwall, England, UK. It has been designated as an ‘Area of Ourstanding Natural Beauty.’
This picturesque cargo port and former military town is situated on the River Fowey and has access to Polruan by passenger ferry and Bodinnick by car ferry. Places to see include the beach at Readymoney Cove and the ruins of St Catherine’s Castle.
Due to its location, the town is popular with boat and sailing enthusiasts and it is home to Royal Fowey Yacht Club, as well as several seafood restaurants.
There are two schools – Fowey Community College and Fowey Primary School.
